I am originally from Kosciusko, Mississippi; a small town outside of Jackson and is also the birthplace of Oprah Winfrey. Growing up in a small town always gave me a strong sense of family and community. I'm very proud of that. When I went to college I didn't stray too far from home. I attended Mississippi State University and achieved a BA in Communication and Public Relations in 2005.
Shortly after I had the opportunity to travel and live all over the country thanks to being a military wife. Being able to live in so many different parts of the country and seeing so many different things is when I discovered my love for design. I learned to appreciate the beauty of spaces, objects and nature. Moving so much was a burden but I found a small sense of joy in making every new house a home for my family. Having these experiences helps me connect with clients because I know how important it is to feel "at home."
Although I love that we've had a chance to live all over the country, I'm happy to be settled with my two boys. My love of all things beautiful evolved over the years as I transitioned from just being a family friend to working alongside April and Valerie. I love reviving and revitalizing spaces to give our clients the more functional, enjoyable, spaces they desire. It's a great feeling to love what you do!
